I Googled ( sorry ) early john wayne films, then john wayne on a boat, then john wayne leading ladies, managed to link your image to Gail Russell (very pretty) further found they did two films together, sadly she died in her mid thirties related to alcholism (wikipedia). Answer was their second film together. That got my brain working before work cheers.
