From my avatar can you work out where I was born and explain how you worked it out?

Please dont reveal the answer until everyone interested in the quiz / challenge has had the chance to solve it but please post in this thread either "solved it"or "still under investigation"

Looks like maybe a child from Germany during the Holocaust :confused: He looks very sad :( Not sure may need more time to study the image when I have more free time from work and can really focus without distractions :cool: ( Still under investigation )
 
It's a difficult question and I may have to drop a few clues as time goes by. Thanks for taking an interest and it's not a sad place.

I need to find a good focusing tune to focus on your image investigation mystery duntpasstome. I can work things out better with the right sounds as I view an image so I will participate soon but I need my head to be clear of work stuff and setting this place up then I will see if I can figure it out :cool: ( Still under investigation )

So not a sad place got it ;) It looks like he has a few digits missing on his right hand :confused: detective_lupa.gif~c200.gif Ok so is he an orphan or does he have parents? I am going to try and give this a try tonight now that work is done ( Still under investigation ) :cool:

Yes, I agree. I am USA born German, my grand-Father came to America in the 1880's.
 
The place where myself and the boy in the picture come from is not a sad place but the story of the boy has elements of sadness but also heart warming and funny.

The story is set in 1968, 3 years before I was born and the man who wrote the story used to teach my mum at secondary school.

It's certainly not easy and you ll definitely need more clues, don't work too hard and the thread can run for as long as it still is an interest, we have lots of time. Have a lovely day.

Well others still need to try and figure it out :coffee: that was fun :) I won't give the answer away though :cool: As soon as I saw your last clue it was more clear :D

You changed your puzzle avatar before you left duntpasstome so I am putting the original kes.gif here so others may try and figure out the original challenge :cool:
